According to a report in Pink Villa, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen playing the role of Don in his next film King, which will also see his daughter Suhana Khan making her theatrical debut.
Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
According to the report, Shahrukh Khan is making films for the audience and is well aware of the desire to see them in grey. King is his passion project and he is meticulously working with Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh on all aspects of the project. The report has quoted sources as saying that they have created a gray character with a very cold attitude for Shah Rukh Khan.
The report also states that Siddharth Anand is currently working on action blocks with international stunt teams following finalizing the design of the character.
Shah Rukh Khan is overseeing the creative process and training with Suhana on some new-age action scenes, the source added.
The Bollywood star has played negative roles throughout his acting career. He played the villain in the 1993 romantic thriller Fear, Abbas Mustan’s 1993 revenge thriller Baaziar and the 1994 psychological thriller Anjam.
Khan’s most popular negative role is that of Don in Farhan Akhtar’s crime thriller franchise.
Earlier reports said that Shah Rukh Khan has invested a whopping Rs 2 billion in King.
The report revealed that Sujoy Ghosh and Siddharth Anand have joined hands to produce the action flick which has a budget of Rs 2 billion.
According to reports, the film’s creative team has worked for the past one year to focus on pre-production planning and script development and action sequences.
Meanwhile, sources privy to the matter revealed that the filmmakers are in talks with world-renowned stunt coordinators from the West to join the ‘King’ team.
