According to Indian media, the Indian Enforcement Directorate has charged Arvind Kejriwal with money laundering through fraud in the liquor policy.
It may be noted that the liquor policy implemented by the Delhi government in 2022, which removed government control over the sale of liquor in the capital, giving unfair advantage to private retailers, was later withdrawn.

A 12-member team of the Enforcement Directorate reached the official residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal with a search warrant in the Excise Policy case, where the Chief Minister was arrested.

Finally, the ED officers themselves reached his residence for questioning, where following a long investigation, the ED arrested him.
