Gaza – Palestinian factions published a video of prisoners demanding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to release them.
The Israeli prisoners were warned of the continued Israeli bombing and the danger it poses to their lives.
The Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed through the video that “military pressure led to the killing of dozens of prisoners in our hands and deprived the rest of them from celebrating Easter with their dear ones.”
The video showed two prisoners addressing Netanyahu’s government, saying, “We are living in difficult conditions under heavy bombardment… You abandoned us,” calling on government ministers to be “flexible in the negotiations” related to the ceasefire in Gaza and the prisoner exchange deal.
The two Israeli prisoners pointed out in the Al-Qassam video, “The exchange deal took a long time… It is time to reach a deal that will leave us alive and in good health.”
The two Israeli prisoners appealed to the demonstrators in Israel to “do everything in your power to put pressure on the (Israeli) government in all possible ways… I hope that you will continue the demonstrations in order for there to be negotiations that lead to a deal.”
In turn, the families of the Israeli prisoners in Gaza confirmed in response to the Al-Qassam video that “Israel must choose either Rafah or the deal. The war must be ended and the price must be paid, and entering Rafah is an additional sacrifice.”
The statement by the families of the prisoners continued, “The military pressure on Hamas has failed and our approach must be changed. Neglecting the kidnapped people is a crime.”
A senior official in the Israeli government accused Netanyahu on Friday of obstructing a prisoner exchange agreement and of creating many obstacles.
