MEXICO CITY.- The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Quintana Roo reported that through a joint operation with the National Guard they managed to rescue 27 victims of sexual exploitation in the municipality of Benito Juárez.
During the execution of a search warrant in a clandestine bar, they rescued a total of 27 female people, presumed victims of the crime of human trafficking in its form of foreign prostitution.
Derived from a field and office investigation, the officers arrived at the establishment located in Supermanzana 100, on Avenue 127 in the municipality of Benito Juárez, where the women provided sexual services to the clients of the place.
Yucatecas, among the victims
The search carried out by a control judge resulted in the rescue of 27 female victims of withheld identity. All of Mexican nationalityoriginating from the states of Aguascalientes, Campeche, Chiapas, Colima, Oaxaca, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Veracruz and Yucatan.
After completing the procedure, the participating agents placed the corresponding stamps to indicate that the property was insured. While the rescued women were left under protection of the State Attorney General’s Officewhere they underwent the corresponding medical and psychological examinations.
