Asunción, IP Agency.- The National Festival of Ñandutí, considered the most outstanding folklore event in the country, will celebrate its 45th edition at the Club Olimpia in Itauguá. The event is scheduled for Thursday 7th, Friday 8th and Saturday 9th March 2024, starting at 9:00 pm.
The ñandutí, declared a National Heritage of Folklore and Crafts by the National Secretariat of Culture (SNC), will be the undisputed protagonist of this festival, which will bring together artists, craftsmen and culture lovers from all over the country.
This annual event, which has already become a tradition in the Paraguayan cultural calendar, will feature the participation of prominent folk groups and exponents of the ñandutí art, who will exhibit their skills and creativity in each presentation.
The support of important institutions such as the Municipality of Itauguá, the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (Fondec), the Binational Entity Yacyretá and Itaipu Binacional guarantees the success and relevance of this festival, which promotes and preserves the cultural roots of Paraguay . . . .
For three consecutive nights, attendees will be able to enjoy folklore shows, ñandutí craft demonstrations, cultural exhibitions and much more.
