Ivan Vukumanovic has resigned as coach of Indian Super League (ISL) club Kerala Blasters. The club itself announced this in a press release. The explanation given by the club is that the decision was taken by mutual agreement.

Ivan Vukomanovic, who joined the club in 2021, is stepping down following achieving historic feats for the club. Evan, who took the team to the playoffs three times in a row, managed to take the team to the finals in the first season itself. In the 2021-22 season, the Blasters managed to achieve the highest number of points and the highest number of goals scored in a season in the club’s history.

“Ivan Vukomanovic has been very influential in the growth of the team over the last three years. I am very happy to have worked with him during this period. I thank Ivan for everything he has done for Kerala Blasters .I wish him all the best,” said Karolis Skinkis, sports director of Kerala Blasters.

“It’s one of the most difficult decisions in the club’s history. I’ve had a very close relationship with Evan since day one. I regret parting ways with him, but I think it’s the right decision for the club going forward,” Kerala Blasters director Nikhil B Nimmagadda said.
