Georgia Bliatsou tells through her new work stories completely connected to the Mother Nature, but also with her Spring.
Born and raised in the Thessalian plain, Agriculture Bliatsou it has a unique connection with nature, which at this time is in its glory. As the painter herself notes, regarding her new exhibition:
«Spring has always signaled trips to the countryside. “Blooming hugs all around, aromas flowing and flooding the bodies, unforgettable tastes of fresh cheeses, honey, vegetables, the endless games with the soil, the stones, swinging on the branches of trees with improvised swings formed the magical children’s paradise whose foundations were the Greek nature… This flow of life, through the presence of the silent landscape that only the rustling of leaves, the buzzing of bees, the walking of animals, the laughter of children playing fearlessly in nature, this meaning of eternal life, as long as it exists , I want to capture.»
The painter presents her work in five eloquent thematic units, fully connected to the eternal cycle of life, sending its message of protection of the planet, more imperative than ever, highlighting the need for the harmonious coexistence of all living things, for mutual benefit, to maintain a sustainably desirable development , as all species are necessary for the balance of planet earth.
Its reference points are the natural landscape of the Greek countryside, the wonderful flowers which she highlights with her creditor, the wise one beewhich not only produces the precious honeybut also conveys life with the invaluable pollination of plants, the animals generous producers of milk and person who in the form of a little girl, comes to symbolize the hopeful future. Five thematic axes, different and autonomous, which are connected to each other and are links in the chain of life.
The art historian Louisa Karapidakis notes in her text for the report:
«With her work, the creator describes the sacred sequence of ecological balance and the closed circuit of the natural world, where every living being and its production depends on symbiosis with other life forms. Disturbance in the structure of the environment is damaging, because if the countryside, water, trees and flowers are destroyed, the bee will not pollinate and many of the plant crops and native species will disappear. In this way, nutrients will be lost in food items that animals need, there will be an impact on the production of livestock products and consequently the entire food chain will be disrupted, with negative consequences for humans.
In her novel thematic pentatych n Bliatsou illustrate with aacrylics, mixed techniques with inks and gold leaves the beneficial interaction between man and nature, with sensitivity, giving a poetic dimension to her compositions. She chooses her painting surfaces to be optimistic and pulsating with life and color, even though with the images she conceptually refers to burning environmental issues and the fatal consequences of continuous ecological destruction. She prefers to describe, armed with her innate optimism, the beauty of the natural environment and the beneficial offer of nature to man than to record future disasters. Its aim is to sensitize the viewer, to remind him of the danger, to make him a communicator of the modern problem of the disturbance of the balance of many ecosystems and to urge him to acquire ecological consciousness», concludes the Louisa Karapidakis.
