Jupiler Pro League: Anderlecht beats Cercle and remains alone at the top of the championship

Anderlecht retained the lead in the Belgian football championship following its 3-0 victory over Cercle Bruges on Wednesday during the 5th day of the Champions playoffs. Théo Leoni (30th and 55th) scored twice, with a goal from Anders Dreyer (32nd) between his two goals.

Kévin Denkey appeared dangerous at the very start of the match (1st). After a first opportunity from Dreyer (11th), Anderlecht closed the game in two minutes. Served by Dreyer, Leoni played two defenders and goalkeeper Warleson with a technical gesture to open the scoring (30th). In the process, Kasper Dolberg took advantage of a loss of ball from Leonardo Da Silva to overflow on the left and cross to the far post where his compatriot Dreyer was, who only had to put it in the back of the net. Anderlecht then lost Dreyer (36th) and his goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, who remained in the locker room at half-time, to injury.
