Prabowo Opens Up to Other Parties Joining the Coalition

PRESIDENT-elect for the 2024-2029 period, Prabowo Subianto, revealed that his party will look at further developments regarding the potential for other parties to join following PKB and Nasdem.

“We’ll see how it develops,” said Prabowo when answering journalists’ questions following receiving a visit from the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Nasdem Party, Surya Paloh and the party officials at Kertanegara IV, Jakarta, Thursday (25/4).

In a friendly and warm meeting between the two old friends, Prabowo revealed that he and Surya Paloh were committed to establishing cooperation for the benefit of the Indonesian nation and people.

“We agree that we will work together as much as possible for the interests of the Indonesian people. All forces that can join together to work for the people, providing a strong and effective government in the midst of world dynamics are highly anticipated,” he stressed.

Surya Paloh also made a similar statement, in which he emphasized that following holding the 2024 General Election and Presidential Election, every party must work together to develop this country. For this reason, he said that his party was committed to supporting the Prabowo-Gibran government.

“NasDem today reiterates its support for the new government, under the leadership of Mr. Prabowo Subianto and Mas Gibran. We certainly hope that the administration of this government will run in the future, with the support provided by various components and all the institutional strengths in this country, God willing, we will “will be able to provide something much greater and more meaningful to continue to look at Indonesia with optimism in the future,” explained Surya Paloh.

“This means that we are ready to provide full support to the new government under the leadership of Pak Prabowo Subianto and Maa Gibran,” he stressed.

The day before, Prabowo visited the National Awakening Party (PKB) Central Executive Board (DPP) office and was greeted directly by the PKB Chairman, Muhaimin Iskandar.

During the meeting, the two of them discussed cooperation for Indonesia’s development in the future.

“With close cooperation, God willing, we will achieve our goals of eliminating poverty, hunger, corruption from our bodies, and bringing prosperity. Working together to welcome a better future,” concluded Prabowo. (Z-8)
