They commemorate World Earth Day with educational activities

Coatzacoalcos, Ver. April 22, 2024.- The Government of Coatzacoalcos organized an awareness program at the Wenceslao Victoria Soto primary school, in commemoration of World Earth Day, which is celebrated this April 22.

More than 200 children participated in civic activities related to the date such as: anniversaries regarding caring for the planet, including students from the Vicente Guerrero school from the followingnoon shift, paraded costumes made with newspaper, snack wrappers, cardboard and bottle caps.

To make the dynamic more entertaining, the Misión Tlacuache bottarga was present, attracting the attention of all the little ones.

The director of Municipal Education, Yolanda García Garay, thanked the teachers and parents for their support of these activities, emphasizing the importance of planting trees and working as a team to take care of the planet.

‘We have to plant trees, reforest Coatzacoalcos, we must take care of the planet and we have to continue working as a team to take care of planet Earth.’

The Agricultural Development area, directed by Rutilo De Dios Ramos, distributed seed kits for healthy gardens and planted oak, mango, lemon, coconut and guava fruit trees, in collaboration with the students. In addition, adapted buckets with watering cans were delivered to care for the plants.

For his part, the director of the campus, Julio César Osorio González, reiterated his gratitude and commitment to continue working in a coordinated manner.
