The Kingdom’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has specified a group of jobs in which Kingdom residents or expatriates are prohibited from working.
This decision was made due to the presence of many other nationalities within the Kingdom, which led to a small number of job opportunities available to people in the Kingdom. This decision was taken with the aim of providing a number of employment opportunities to citizens of the Kingdom. different age stages according to specific conditions.

Jobs prohibited for residents
The ministry revealed a list of professions reserved for Saudis and no other person is allowed to practice them. It looks like this:
- Personal professions.
- Position of Marketing Manager or Sales Manager.
- Customer Service Representative Job.
- Recruitment in the catering sector.
- Data entry.
- Maintenance managers.
- Administrative clerk profession.
- Profession of head of public services.
- Treasurer’s job.
- Reception staff.
- Relationship manager.
- Women’s professions in women’s clothing stores.
- Customs broker job.
The ministry has confirmed that if a resident engages in any of these professions, they and their institution will be subject to legal liability and financial fines.
