On Thursday, it became clear that the police have finished investigating the case once morest Tom Hagen.
Both NRK and The online newspaper has information that the recommendation that the East Police District has now sent to the state attorney means that the case once morest him will be dropped on the basis of the evidence.
Hagen’s defender Svein Holden says that he does not know the content of the setting.
– But we expect the case once morest Hagen to be dropped, says the defense attorney to NRK and Nettavisen.
The public prosecutor must assess
Prosecutor Vibeke Schøyen in the East police district confirms opposite TV 2 that the submission in the Lørenskog case has been delivered to the Oslo state prosecutor’s office.
– Beyond this, we do not have the opportunity to comment on our recommendation as this is now with the state attorney for assessment. For the same reason, we cannot arrange for an interview in the case either, says the prosecutor.
State prosecutor Kari Hangeland Buvik tells NRK that she also has no other comments than the confirmation that the recommendation from the police has been received.
Four accused
Anne-Elisabeth Hagen’s legal aid lawyer, Gard A. Lier, tells TV 2 that he has not been informed that the police have forwarded their recommendations to the public prosecutor.
– I have not been sent an updated list of documents and do not know what that setting is regarding. It is also not usual for us as lawyers to have access to these settings, says Lier to the channel.
In addition to Hagen, three other men have been charged in the case. All three deny criminal responsibility.
Hagen denies criminal guilt
When Anne Elisabeth’s disappearance became known to the public at the beginning of 2019, she had already been missing for ten weeks.
According to the police, the investigation was kept secret these weeks because of the threats to Anne Elisabeth’s life. In a letter left at the Hagen couple’s home, serious threats were made and a demand for several million euros in ransom.
Later, the police got the impression that the 68-year-old woman was killed before she was taken away from the house in Lørenskog on 31 October 2018.
Sunday 28 April marks four years since Tom Hagen was arrested at Lørenskog. He has always denied having anything to do with the disappearance.
