Gaza – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Thursday that the death toll from the Israeli war had risen to “34,305 martyrs and 77,293 injuries” since October 7, 2023.
The Ministry said, through a statistical report on the 202nd day of the war: “The Israeli occupation is committing 5 massacres once morest families in the Gaza Strip, of which 43 martyrs and 64 injuries were brought to hospitals during the past 24 hours.”
It reported that “the toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 34,305 martyrs and 77,293 injuries since the seventh of last October.”
In light of the restrictions and the ongoing Israeli war, the Ministry stressed that “a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.”
In addition to the victims, most of whom were children and women, the Israeli war also left massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of children and the elderly, according to Palestinian and UN data.
Palestinian and international warnings are mounting regarding a possible significant increase in the number of casualties, if Israel carries out a military invasion of the city of Rafah, which it says is imminent.
There are regarding 1.4 million displaced people in Rafah, the southernmost part of the Gaza Strip on the border with Egypt, and Tel Aviv claims that it is “the last stronghold of the Hamas movement.”
Israel continues this war despite the issuance of an immediate ceasefire resolution by the UN Security Council, and despite its first appearance before the International Court of Justice on charges of committing “genocide.”
