The two-door open EH7 was officially presented to the general public today as part of the auto show being held in the Chinese capital.
Premium brand Hongqi transformed the five-meter EH7 electric sedan into a spectacular two-door convertible. The four-seater “postcard” of the same name, presented at the Beijing motor show, is identical to it in terms of wheelbase and dimensions: 4980x1915x1490 mm.
The open two-door from Hongqi New Energy’s “green” division copies the exterior design of the sedan without the roof. The interior of these cars is almost identical. Except that instead of a rear sofa, the new product has a few separate seats.
The convertible has the same multifunction steering wheel, flattened on both sides, and a curved screen that combines a digital dashboard and a large screen for the multimedia system. The beginner’s interior is trimmed with two-tone leather in gray and light green tones.
The powertrains of the open two-door are expected to be the same as those of the sedan. This means that the two-door will receive a 344-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle in a single-wheel drive version and, in addition, a 275-horsepower motor on the front axle in an all-wheel drive version. The most powerful Hongq EH7 convertible will need 3.5 seconds to accelerate to hundreds.
