“Give it your all! Make it clear to the last citizen that what is at stake in the European elections is the progress and security of Europe and Greece.”
That was it key message sent by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the meeting he had yesterday at Megaros Maximos with all of them elected in Parliament and government on Regions of Western Greece, Peloponnese and Epirus.
Among the directions given ahead of the June 9 European elections was that of constant vigilance and, as pointed out characteristically by those present, “that the ministers have their phones open”.
KATSANIOTIS
Alongside, the information of “Peloponnisos” regarding “prompt for discrete appearances of the deputies in the churches” was also confirmed throughout the Easter period”, due to the tensions caused by the same-sex “marriage” bill, with the achaios ND MP Andreas Katsaniotor to raise the matter before K. Mitsotakis, asking his colleagues to “be careful”. He also made the following statement to “P”: “We start immediately following Easter the big battle for the European elections. The direction that Europe will take following June 9 concerns us all. Some believe in a Europe of persons, we believe in a Europe of principles and values. The strength of Europe is its nations with their history, their traditions and their values. Europe must be together in difficulties, but also share happiness.”
FOTILAS
From his side, the member of parliament of Achaia of the ND Jasonas Fotila stated the following: “It was a very useful meeting in which the prime minister was clear. We all need to come out loud in society and explain the seriousness of the European elections. We have to explain to the citizens that on the one hand a number of European policies are at stake that concern us all, such as the common agricultural policy, security issues, policies concerning refugees and asylum for immigrants, etc., which will be judged in the European committees and on the one hand that the course of its reform work is also being judged our country. In order to continue with the necessary reforms that will modernize Greece, it is necessary to have a strong New Democracy”.
It should be noted thati present at the meeting, which lasted regarding 1.5 hoursthere were also Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ advisor Thanasis Nezis and the general secretary of the Prime Minister Stelios Koutnatzis, who, following all, are the ones who have undertaken the communication with the members of the ND’s KO.
