The Moroccan club rejected this measure, stressing that it did not have alternative shirts, which forced the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to write to the responsible authorities in Algeria, asking them to find a solution to the issue.

The Algerian Federation prepared alternative shirts, but the Moroccan team refused to wear them and insisted on playing the match in their official shirts, which caused the match to be cancelled.
