Massive Job Offer with Over 2,400 Opportunities Announced by MTPE: How to Apply and What to Expect

He Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE), through its digital platforms, announced a wide job offer which includes more than 2,400 employment opportunities, aimed at both those seeking to reintegrate into the market and those aspiring to obtain their first professional experience.

On this occasion, the government entity communicated, through the publication, that the invitation is for older adultsprofessionals, citizens without experience and people with disabilities.

Those interested must come this Tuesday, April 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Employment Center of the Ministry of Labor, which is located at Salaverry Avenue nº 655 in the Jesús María district.

Because this type of event brings together thousands of people, attendees are invited to come early in order to avoid the long lines that form very early.

Likewise, it is advisable to bring an updated curriculum vitae (CV) so that recruiters can look at your profile and thus know if you fit the position they are looking for.

This offer promotes vacancies with salaries in accordance with current legislation, which contributes to reducing informal employment among young people in Peru. This issue is highlighted as a considerable difficulty in a report by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), which reveals that, for the third quarter of 2023, the 85.4% of the youth population 14 to 24 years old is involved in this situation.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time that the MTPE organizes a massive job callsince thousands of young people gathered this Tuesday, April 23 at the Plaza Bolivar of the Lima fence. On this occasion, those interested sought to tempt one of the 1,200 formal employment vacancies in 42 companies in various areas such as commerce, services, industry, construction, logistics, among others.

Similarly, the ministry also carries out this type of initiatives in different districts such as, for example, San Juan de Lurigancho, Villa El Salvador o Santa Rosa.

He MTPE plays a crucial role in the labor policy management in the country with the objective of promoting the creation of decent and quality employment, improving labor relations and guaranteeing compliance with workers’ rights.

The entity is responsible for designing strategies to combat informality by promoting training and certification programs for skills that increase employability. Likewise, it is responsible for regulating working conditions, including wages, hours, and safe environments.

In an interview granted to TV Peru, Daniel Mauratewho leads the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotionpointed out that the Medicine and Engineering sectors offer the higher starting incomewith a salary range of “between 5 thousand and 6 thousand soles” for professionals who have just graduated in Medicine.

Likewise, he highlighted the importance and lucrative potential of technical careers by specifically mentioning areas such as mining and oil. He stressed that, following three years of studies, it is possible to access starting salaries that can reach 10 thousand soles, thus presenting a considerably attractive option for young people who are beginning their path in the world of work.
