Asunción, IP Agency.- The national director of Tax Revenue, Oscar Orue, reported that anti-smuggling seizures already exceed G. 100,487 million, since the creation of the National Directorate of Tax Revenue (DNIT), thanks to the fluid exchange of data between Customs and Internal Revenue.
This was what Orue explained this Friday before directors of the Paraguayan Industrial Union (UIP) during a visit to the customs warehouse (GICAL) located in the city of Mariano Roque Alonso, Central department.
On the occasion, an evaluation of the results of the fight once morest illicit trade was carried out with industrialists. The UIP delegation was led by its head Enrique Duarte.
He added that the seizures made by the Government of Santiago Peña total around USD 14 million. In this context, he highlighted the importance of reporting the numbers, as well as everything seized in the various anti-smuggling operations throughout the country.
The head of the UIP Enrique Duarte said: “We see the commitment of the three managements of the National Tax Revenue Directorate (DNIT). What we always demand is being fulfilled, not only the fight but also transparency regarding what was seized, the traceability of post-seizure merchandise.”
