How do you feel the day following the coronation?

”I’m a little lost, I don’t really believe it but I’m super happy.”

How did you experience the prime?

“Very good. I loved it because I put myself in a mindset that if I didn’t win, it didn’t matter. I sang like it was the last time I sang on stage.”

Emma emerged winner of the final of “The Voice Belgium”

What was your goal when you signed up for the show?

”I didn’t have a goal. I signed up and I didn’t even think I would make it to the blinds. I just said to myself: ‘We’ll try, we’ll try’, see if I can try to start in music, and see if I like the stage. I didn’t think I would win at all.”

How did you experience this adventure?

”Great, it was great. I thank the production team, because without them, there would be no show. We are surrounded by caring people and that makes the experience better.”

How did the adventure go with your coach?

”Great, I mightn’t have dreamed of a better coach, I don’t regret choosing BJ. Before arriving on set, I was asked who I would choose if I had the choice between the four coaches. I said BJ, and I chose BJ, I didn’t hesitate, and I don’t regret it.”

At “The Voice Belgium”, is this the first time you sang in public?

”I had already sung in public, at a wedding, at school, but never on a stage.”

When did you start making music?

”I started singing very early, around the age of 7, then I learned the piano on my own. I also write a lot of songs.”

Can we expect an album with your own compositions?

”I might do something with it later. These are songs that I wrote when I was little, with children’s words, so maybe they’ll be revisited, and maybe I’ll write other things.”

Is music your favorite means of expression?

”That’s what keeps me alive. There’s no way I can go a day without listening to music.”

Have you always seen yourself in this environment?

”I always wanted to be in this industry. Did I see myself there? I don’t know because I didn’t believe much in myself, but I try. I didn’t think I would one day be on stage and do what I’m doing now. We’ll see if I’ll continue with that, but that’s what I want anyway.”

What is your style ?

”I’m slowly starting to build myself up. I’m not the type to put a label on a particular genre.”

And your business studies in all this?

”I’ve been struggling a bit since the Cross Battles. It’s not easy to follow. I think tomorrow I’m going to be slapped when I see all the stuff I haven’t turned in, but I’m going to continue studying.”

You’re not too afraid for what’s next?

”Yes, a little, I wonder if people won’t forget me? Am I going to release something that people will hate? Will I be able to do something I love? I’m not going to say that I’m afraid, but rather that I’m lost.”

”Family is important, but it’s a very small circle, and I pay very attention to it. The others come later. My sister, my father and my mother are the most important people in my life.”

You come from Luxembourg, why did you participate in “The Voice Belgium”?

”I had the choice between “The Voice France” and “The Voice Belgium”. I found the Belgian version more fun than the French one, and above all the best artists come from Belgium: Loic Nottet, Angèle, Stromae, Damso…”

What are your influences ?

”Clara Luciani, Amy Winehouse, and rock groups…”
