President Asif Ali Zardari and Iranian President Seyed Ibrahim Raisi had a telephone conversation during which they expressed their heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the Iranian leadership and bereaved families over the Israeli attack on the Iranian Embassy in Damascus.
According to the statement issued by the Press Wing of the Presidency, President Asif Ali Zardari expressed concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the genocide by the Israeli forces and demanded an immediate ceasefire.
It should be noted that since October 7, at least 33,482 Palestinians have been martyred and 76,049 have been injured in the incidents of Israeli aggression in Gaza.
The President also expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the Iranian leadership and the bereaved families over the Israeli attack on the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Syria.
It should be remembered that on April 1, many people, including the leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, were martyred in a missile attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria by Israel.
President Asif Ali Zardari said that Pakistan will continue to work with Iran in all areas of mutual interest to further promote bilateral cooperation.
The President stressed the need to increase information exchange to overcome the security challenges faced by both countries.
President Asif Ali Zardari also invited the Iranian President to visit Pakistan.
He also expressed good wishes for the health, well-being and happiness of the Iranian president and his family.
