Criminal league smuggled 20 kilos of cocaine to Finland – in a small scheme

The police have seized large amounts of drugs and money in a crackdown on the criminal organization Outlaws MC, the Central Criminal Police announces. The police came across 76.6 kilograms of amphetamine, 7 kilograms of marijuana, 15 kilograms of cocaine and 190,150 euros in connection with the crackdown last year.

A batch of drugs, 20 kilograms of cocaine, was flown into Finland with a small plane that landed in Hyvinkää in October 2023.

The drugs are said to have been smuggled so that an international criminal league smuggled the drugs through Hungary to Finland, and another group of criminals – some of whom are members of the Outlaws MC – received, stored and resold the drugs in Finland. The drugs have finally landed in Jyväskylä and the Helsinki region.

A total of seven people are suspected of crimes in the tangle. The persons are citizens of Finland, Great Britain, Sweden, Estonia, the USA and Hungary.

Outlaws MC is, along with Hells Angels and Bandidos, one of the oldest criminal organizations in Finland. The group has roots in the United States, where it is believed to have been founded as early as 1935. Nowadays, it has at least 300 branches around the world, of which the police know of four in Finland.

The preliminary investigation is complete and the case is now being examined for prosecution.
