CELINE Dion, 56, admitted that she had no idea when she would return to the stage following she was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome (SPS), an autoimmune disease that attacks the central nervous system, including the brain and spinal cord. He said he would return when the time was right, and his body would tell.

“I can’t answer (when to return to the stage) because for four years I told myself that I wouldn’t come back, that I was ready, that I wasn’t ready,” said Dion as reported by People, Tuesday (23/4).

“Right now, I can’t say to you, ‘Yes, in four months.’ “I don’t know. My body will tell me,” he added.

The singer of “I’m Alive” continued, it is morally difficult to live life from day to day. He admitted that he worked very hard to recover. “There is one thing that will never stop, that is will, desire, dreams,” he stressed.

At the end of 2022, Dion revealed that he was diagnosed with SPS or stiff person syndrome. This rare neurological disease can cause debilitating muscle spasms and affect the central nervous system, particularly the brain and spinal cord, according to the Stiff Person Syndrome Foundation.

In an interview with Vogue France, she spoke regarding her daily experience with the disease and how she strives to “be the best I can be.”

Five days a week Dion undergoes athletic, physical and vocal therapy. He trains his toes, knees, calves, fingers, sings, trains his vocals.

Dion said that right now he has two choices, train like an athlete and work very hard, or I’ll just get it done and be done.

“I stay at home, listen to my songs, stand in front of the mirror and sing to myself,” he continued.

“I choose to work with all my body and soul, from head to toe, with the medical team. I want to be the best I can be. My goal is to see the Eiffel Tower once more!” he concluded. (Z-3)
