Claudel Lubaya has been very virulent towards the management of Félix Tshisekedi since the distant past. In a statement sent to our editorial staff, the former governor of Kasai-Occidental pointed to Félix Tshisekedi as the moral author of all the frauds that the nation is experiencing today.
In his speech, Claudel Lubaya accuses Félix Tshisekedi of having trampled underfoot the political vision of his late father and the presidential party, UDPS. “By legalizing, at the dawn of his first mandate, the retro commissions, which he had affectionately called “coop”, President TSHISEKEDI had in a single media outing, destroyed all the foundations of the struggle of his father and his party, the UDPS”
Claudel Lubaya remains clear in his judgment: everything started with a media outing by the Head of State during the 15 million retro commission series. “Everyone remembers, in the case it was 15 million USD in retro commissions received from oil companies and having miraculously disappeared from one account to another in one of the local banks. He had thus opened the way to prevarication, de facto betraying his office; which explains this cascading sequence of scandals which follow one another and resemble each other, especially since their authors engage in them with complete impunity while madly mocking those who denounce them.
Today, more than under the regime of the “monster” Joseph Kabila, the country continues to flounder in the deepest mud without any help from the authorities. State money would be used to satisfy the desires of several political “carnivores” under the nonchalant gaze of justice.
“Six years later, no one is in prison or threatened with imprisonment while from 2019 to date, several cases of corruption, embezzlement and retro commissions have hit the headlines. No one has returned the embezzled money. No one is arrested or those who are are released, without explanation,” he said.
And to conclude : “consequence: the people first, the fight once morest corruption, the rule of law, etc., ideals dear to the late president of the UDPS, are relegated to oblivion to the point of no longer being mentioned even in restricted meetings and of the party and the government! Instead, we prefer to talk regarding the regulations regarding dog breeding!”
