Strabag buys company from Perger Synthesa Group

Austria’s largest construction company Strabag is buying the hemp insulation manufacturer Naporo Klimadämmstoff GmbH from the Perger Synthesa group of companies. The listed company announced on Monday that the product portfolio will be expanded to include insulation panels made from hemp, flax and PET fibers, which have a minimal ecological footprint and at the same time bind CO2. Strabag acquires 100 percent of the shares, Synthesa remains on board as a sales partner.

The hemp insulation pioneer Naporo was part of the Synthesa Group from 2014. The hemp fiber insulation panels for the Capatect hemp insulation system have been produced at the Haugsdorf site in Lower Austria since 2015. The panels bear the Austrian eco-label and, in addition to providing thermal insulation, they also provide protection once morest street noise.

According to Strabag, the company in Haugsdorf employs 14 people. It was agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
