With the European Cup of the UEFA Youth League, the youth of Olympiakos will return to Piraeus, having swept Milan 3-0 in the final of the competition in Nyon, Switzerland.
The “red and white” in a dreamlike two minutes scored two goals in the 60′ and 61′ of the match with scorers Christos Mouzakitis and Antonis Papakanellos.
The “icing on the cake” was added five minutes later by Theofanis Bakulas, who made it 3-0 with an upside down scissors kick, setting the tone for wild celebrations on the bench and in the stands.
Olympiakos’ path to the final
The “red and whites” started on the Champions Path, where they managed to knock out Italian champions Lecce and Azerbaijan champions Kampala with 4/4 wins and 13-2 goals.
This was followed by qualification in the penalty shootout once morest the Italian champions, Inter. In the next phase, Lance led 0-2, but Olympiacos turned the game 2-2 and sent it to penalties, where they qualified.
In Munich, Olympiacos beat Bayern 3-1 and qualified for Switzerland, where they overcame Nantes with a penalty shootout win.
