Euroborg had an atmospheric and beautiful football evening on Saturday. For many supporters, the FC day started in the followingnoon in the stadium during the well-attended presentation of the biography of former FC player Gibril Sankoh. The evening ended with celebration and a welcome three points. Experience the football evening and FC Groningen – SC Cambuur once more through the latest episode of ‘Thuis’.
Gibril Sankoh grew up in war-torn Sierra Leone and arrived in the Netherlands as a young adult as a boat refugee. The defender stood out at Telstar and really broke through in Euroborg. Sankoh played 179 for the FC and his performances earned him a nice transfer to Germany. FC supporter Ferdi Delies wrote the biography that was officially presented prior to the match once morest Cambuur. The book can be purchased in the FC Groningen Store, among others.
Supporters and players were welcomed with a clear message from the North Stand: ‘4 more finals – 90 minutes of all brakes!’ This gave the starting signal to fight together for the three points once morest Cambuur.
