Asunción, IP Agency.- The assistance tasks for those affected by the floods as a result of intense rains recorded in the department of Ñeembucú continue in a sustained manner through joint actions between the Government and the National Emergency Secretariat (SEN).
In that context, this Wednesday food kits were delivered to 190 families in the area of Estero Cambá, district of San Juan de Ñeembucú.
According to official data from the Ñeembucú Governorate, a total of 963 families have already been assisted so far and these numbers are expected to increase in the coming days.
Likewise, medical assistance and delivery of kits was provided in the Montuoso Costa area, in conjunction with the town of Potrero Pirú. Where a total of 75 affected families were assisted.
Likewise, the cleaning of channels continues through the Ministry of Public Works of the Government with the following tasks: the long-arm backhoe works together with the backhoe of the ARP Regional Ñeembucú in Las Hermanas. In turn, the amphibious backhoe began work in the natural channel of Las Hermanas in Potrero Esteche, Guazucua district.
Meanwhile, the backhoe of the Armed Forces Engineering Command continues with the cleaning tasks of the water channels in the Hû Island area. This action is vital to ensure proper water flow and rapid drainage in flood-affected areas.
