CHAIRMAN of the National Young Entrepreneur Volunteers (Repnas) Anggawira believes that the Constitutional Court (MK) will decide fairly the dispute over the results of the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) on April 22 2024. Angga believes that the Constitutional Court’s decision will further strengthen the victory of the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair 02 Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

“We fully believe that the Constitutional Court will decide this presidential election dispute with a decision that is as fair as possible and taking into account various aspects. So we hope that on April 22, the Constitutional Court’s decision will strengthen the legitimacy of the 02 victory,” said Anggawira in a written statement, Friday (19/4 ).

Anggawira also stated that Repnas has submitted amicus curiae to the MK as a consideration in this matter. The MK himself promised that the amicus curiae would be uploaded to the MK website so that it might be read by the public.

“As a national volunteer organization of young entrepreneurs who have been fighting to win pair 02, the programs and activities we carry out to win pair 02 are voluntary activities and this is taking place on a massive scale, this is what I believe is capable of winning the hearts of the Indonesian people ,” explained Anggawira.

One of the contents of the amicus curiae that Repnas gave to the Constitutional Court was related to the lack of correlation between social assistance and Prabowo-Gibran’s election. Anggawira emphasized that Prabowo-Gibran’s victory was purely the vote of the people.

“02’s victory is truly a victory for the Indonesian people, amounting to 58 percent of the results calculated by the KPU. This is one of the biggest wins in the history of direct elections both in Indonesia and in the world,” said Anggawira.

Anggawira also hopes that following the Constitutional Court’s decision, the Indonesian people can join hands once more to develop Indonesia, even though they had different choices in the last presidential election.

“After this, we will build national solidarity together to make Indonesia more advanced, just and prosperous,” concluded Anggawira.

Based on the MK website, there are two petitions that will be read by the MK, namely the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md petitions which will start on April 22 at 09.00 WIB.

Currently, the Constitutional Court is still holding marathon judge deliberation meetings (RPH). The Constitutional Court also guarantees that there will be no deadlock in making decisions on disputes over the 2024 presidential election. (Z-8)
