Asunción, IP Agency.- The “Mitá Róga” Care Space of the Abrazo Program, located near the San Lorenzo Municipal Market, will be converted into a model center for the direct care of girls, boys and adolescents, announced the head of the Ministry of Children and Adolescents, Walter Gutierrez.
The remodeling will be promoted by the ministerial portfolio, together with the Municipality of San Lorenzo.
Currently, the Mita Róga Care Unit benefits 223 families, of which 121 receive monetary transfer and 60 basic food baskets.
The center provides food services, socio-educational activities, timely stimulation and recreational activities for girls and boys from 0 to 13 years of age.
The renovation will be possible through the disbursement of Item 834 of the Ministry of Children and Adolescents, which will allow the remodeled headquarters to provide quality services to girls, boys and adolescents, mostly children of working mothers in the local market.
During his tour, Gutiérrez explained to the mothers that “Mitá Roga will be converted into a modern Care Space, therefore, it will remain closed for direct care, since work will begin shortly.
Service will not be interrupted
Likewise, the minister confirmed that the Municipality of San Lorenzo will rent a location so that the service is not interrupted.
In that sense, he highlighted the importance of providing adequate and safe spaces for the comprehensive development of children and adolescents, as well as the commitment of the Government of Paraguay to guarantee their comprehensive well-being.
He also pledged to continue working to improve protection services and programs throughout the country.
The mayor of San Lorenzo, Felipe Salomón, the vice ministers Eduardo Escobar Said, of Comprehensive Protection of Rights, and Juan Marcelo Fernández of Planning Programs and Projects, also participated in the tour, as well as some mothers who were beneficiaries of the Abrazo Program.
