Stormy rains continue in Gwadar, Pasni, Jeoni and other districts of Balochistan and houses have been damaged due to floods and storms in rivers and canals while all private schools have been closed.

According to Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), apart from Gwadar, heavy rain is continuing in Pisni, Jeoni and other areas and there is a situation of flooding in the rivers of different rural areas of Gwadar.

Due to rain, the Private School Association has announced to keep all private schools closed.

GDA said in the statement that in the first phase, the process of removing the water entering the houses has been started immediately and 10 water tankers, dewatering machines, 2 loaders, 3 actuators have been deployed in different parts of Gwadar city for maintenance works. I am busy.

The statement said that Gwadar and surrounding areas are currently under heavy rainfall system.

The administration said that 7 more houses have been damaged due to rain in Pisni, 15 houses have been damaged due to rains in Pisni during the last 4 days.

In and around Panjgur, rivers overflowed due to rain and low-lying areas were flooded, damaging mud houses.

In Bornala of Balochistan, water has entered Nushki from the flooded and border areas and due to the flood, the Union Council Post and Anam Bostan land connection with the city has been cut off.

Agricultural crops have been destroyed and flat agricultural lands have been badly affected by floods in Nushki, food shortages have arisen in the affected villages of Dak and Anam Bostan.

On the other hand, ADC Chagai said that the survey is going on for the third day in the storm-affected areas of the city and so far more than 500 relief materials have been delivered to the victims and more than 800 people have been affected in the survey, but more surveys are going on. .

ADC said that tents, tents and water coolers have been distributed in Chagai, Qila Kurd, Pousti. Tube wells have been damaged and livestock have been washed away.

Balochistan Government Spokesman Shahid Rand said that steps are being taken to deal with the unusual situation of rains in Balochistan, 8 people have died and 9 have been injured in the province so far due to lightning and falling roofs.

Shahid Rand said that initial reports of damage have been received, around 40 houses have been damaged due to rain and flood, around 92 houses have been partially damaged, link roads have also been damaged in the affected districts.

The spokesman said that the work of restoring the means of communication in the affected districts is going on, and the survey to determine the damages is also going on.
