Tell me how you first heard regarding the Coop interface?

The The Social Economy Council of the Island of Montrealthrough the Impulse Relance program, recommended Coop Interface à Mains Utiles with the aim of developing financial strategies for income diversification.

Since then, i.e. 2021, the collaboration between Mains Utiles and Coop Interface has only strengthened, especially with Stéphane Guérard.

In 2023, we responded to a call for projects within digital transformation in which we collaborated Jonathan Suard.

Then we participated in “Social economy, I buy!” » by CESIM, where we had coaching sessions to develop public markets with Martin St-Denis.

How has the Coop interface intervened with Mains Utiles in the past year?

Stéphane, for us, is important. From my first meeting with him, with a few words, he quickly understood the mission of Mains Utiles and helped us move in the right direction. He is not just a consultant, he is a person who uses his time and experience for the benefit of our organization; he is always available to help us respond positively to problems affecting our mission and to find solutions. We carried out several mandates together, including one on the production and marketing of a decorative basket made from recycled fibres, a circular economy project.

We also work with Jonathan, and we appreciate his availability and his careful management of the work, respecting deadlines. His current mandate concerns a digital transformation project funded by Data page.

Has the intervention of the members of the Coop interface helped you achieve your goals? How?

In the beginning, our organization went through difficult financial times. Stéphane not only gave us advice, he also put us in touch with different people from the community, with whom we develop very important links for our organization. These connections allow us to better meet our mission.

What aspects of the intervention of the members of the Coop interface did you particularly appreciate?

We particularly appreciated the quality of work delivered and the flexibility of their approach. We really work in partnership and there is a deep mutual respect that is always there. They have the ability to quickly understand their mandate and carry it out from start to finish. Every mandate is a mandate and every deadline is met. This year we had the chance to work once more with Stéphane to develop our first strategic planning, it was a collective effort and we are happy with the result.

If you had it to do over once more, would you still trust the members of the Coop interface for an intervention with Mains Utiles?

Absolutely! We still have work to do with the Coop interface. We currently have several mandates with Interface coop and we hope to have others to ensure continuity in our projects. Many opportunities and possibilities appear for us!

Would you recommend the Coop interface to other NGOs that need management support? For what ?

We already did it last year! I invited Stéphane to participate in the “Supporting Black Communities” platform Group 3737which focused on governance.

I hoped that other NGOs might benefit from his great expertise. We want to continue the references, because this will allow organizations to work with reliable and experienced people, as well as access funding.

The flexibility that Coop Interface offers in its approach to our organizations is a real quality.
