Brucknerhaus managing director Rene Esterbauer was able to agree on an amicable termination of the collaboration in a conversation with artist agent Daniel-Frederic Lebon from Opus 3 Artists, the city of Linz announced in a broadcast on Friday: “Until then, all contractually agreed services for the Brucknerhaus Linz in full and in close coordination with the internal dramaturgy,” says Esterbauer. At the end of June there will be a smooth handover of Lebon’s area of responsibility to the in-house dramaturgy in the Brucknerhaus.
The Brucknerhaus supervisory board decided to terminate the contract early at its meeting on April 4th.
Lebon’s agendas are then taken over by the artistic operations office and the in-house dramaturgs. The position of a dramaturg is also being advertised. The contract with Opus 3 was signed by the former artistic director Dietmar Kerschbaum, who has since been released in the wake of the Brucknerhaus affair. The contract was criticized because the agency could also rely on the artists it supported for programming.
