Along with the release of operating results for the quarter ended March, Infosys announced a profit of Rs 28.20 as final dividend for the financial year and Rs.8 as special dividend.

IT companies are like that. A good amount of profit will be declared every year. Infosys reported its operating profit for the quarter ended March at Rs.28.20 as final dividend for the financial year and Rs.8 as special dividend. May 31 is the record date. This means that the number of shares held previously will receive Rs 28 each. The money will arrive at the bank on July 1st.
With this, Infosys founder Narayanamurthy’s five-month-old grandson Ekagra Rohan Murthy will also get Rs 4.2 crore in his pocket. Narayanamurthy had offered shares worth Rs 240 crore to Ekagra last month.
Kochumakan owns 1.5 lakh shares of Infosys, India’s second-largest IT services provider. A total of 0.04 percent of the shares. Murthy’s stake in Infosys increased from 0.40 per cent to 0.36 per cent. He still holds over 1.51 crore shares. 30 crore from the value at the time of transfer of shares. Narayanamurthy’s son Rohan Murthy and his wife Aparna Krishnan had a son in November 2023. The First Lady of the United Kingdom, Aksatha Murthy, has two daughters. Ekagra Rohan Murthy is the third grandson of Narayana Murthy.
Infosys’ net profit grew 30 per cent to Rs 7,969 crore in the quarter ended March 2024. At the same time, total revenue grew only 1.3 per cent. 37,923 crores once morest Rs 37,441 crores. The company’s net profit in the same quarter last year was Rs 6,128 crore.
