SEEING the many trust issue phenomena experienced by society, especially among teenagers, Gistara Production was moved to raise this issue in its final assignment in the form of making the song and music video Semu. This song and music video screening event was held at Kineforum Sjuman Djaya, Taman Ismail Marzuki.

“Gistara Production has an important message that the song Semu is expected to be a support system for friends who are experiencing trust issues so that they can see around them once more that there are still many people who are there for them and love them,” said Mikhael Yulius Cobis, M.Sc., MM, supervisor and Dean of the Faculty of Communication, LSPR Institute of Communication and Business.

Gistara Production was formed by three active students of the LSPR Institute of Communication and Business. The production of Semu’s work was assisted by 13 LSPR Institute students as cast members in the music video. This music video depicts someone who has experienced a traumatic event in life that made him lose his enthusiasm for life and the desire to trust other people.

Gishella Angeline Prasetya as Production Manager expressed her hopes following the release of the song and music video Semu. “We hope that this song can reach the ears of friends who are experiencing trust issues or want to be a support system for those who need it. Many will fight with us. So don’t be afraid to take another step.”

The music video that was made provides a contradictory view from the main character that in fact the people around him are still there to help him rise from the adversity he has experienced. In an exclusive video reaction from the Harra Music Group, they responded that the message of this song really reached the hearts of listeners. This song is also made to be very touching, starting from the instruments to the vocals of Semu’s song.

Gistara Production hopes that this song can become a support system for those who are experiencing trust issues and can also have the courage to take another step forward.
