The electoral committee of Chile Vamos decided in the last few hours to hold legal primaries in the commune of Portezuelo, where Alan Ibáñez, councilor for more than six years and former authority appointed by President Sebastián Piñera, was ratified by the union, to compete once morest the official municipal of RN, Adán Zapata.

Senator Gustavo Sanhueza highlighted the agreement reached, indicating that “the three UDI parliamentarians, together with our regional board led by Isabel Troncoso, have chosen a candidate with deep roots in the commune, where he was born and completed his basic studies. with a whole life story as the son of a rural teacher in the Llahuén sector.”

The parliamentarian added that “this democratic space will allow greater legitimacy to be given to the October elections, with two options that represent a contrast between municipal continuity and the process of change that the commune requires today. We deeply believe that Alan Ibáñez represents distinctive values, such as probity, management capacity and the closeness that is so necessary in current times.”

The primary elections will be held on Sunday, June 9. Before that, on April 10, the deadline to register candidacies expires, and on May 18, Servel will publish the list of table members and voting locations.
