5,223 Homecoming and Returning Flights Through Ngurah Rai Airport

DURING the last two weeks, PT Angkasa Pura recorded 5,223 flights that have passed through Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport.

General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura Ngurah Rai Bali Handy Heryudhitiawan said the number of flights was only calculated from April 3-15. Passenger growth began on April 3.

“This increase in passenger movements is still happening today, Tuesday (16/4/2024). Maybe it will still happen in the next few days, due to the return flow to Bali. After that, it will return to normal as it should be.

When compared to last year’s period, there was an increase of 2.19% in aircraft movements. In 2023, the number of aircraft movements will only reach 5,111 during the homecoming and return flow periods.

In the period 3-15 April, the daily average reached 402 aircraft movements. Meanwhile, last year, there were only 393 aircraft movements per day. Meanwhile, under normal conditions, there is only an average of 300 aircraft movements per day.

The number of passengers has also increased. This year as many as 866,771 people used planes at Ngurah Rai Airport. This figure is predicted to continue to increase, up to 1 million people.

Compared to the same period in 2023, there was an increase of 10.11%. Because in the same period the previous year it only reached 787,166 people.

“As the main and largest gateway for Bali tourism, we are always ready 24 hours non-stop to serve passengers both coming to Bali and leaving Bali, because it is our duty to provide excellent service, providing a sense of security and comfort for passengers who have use the services of Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport,” he said.
