The General Assembly of the Dubai National Theater held a meeting to elect the board of directors, where Yasser Al Gergawi assumed the chairmanship of the board of directors.
The new board of directors included among its members: Abdullah Saleh Al Rumaithi as vice-chairman, Al Hanouf Mohammed as general secretary, Adel Ibrahim bin Sifan as financial director, and Ibrahim Estadi, Hamad Al Hammadi and Abdullah Al Muhairi as members.
The Dubai National Theater began its journey in 1976, as part of the activities of the Dubai Folklore and Theater Society, and then separated from it in 2005 AD to provide a significant boost to the cultural scene of the Emirate of Dubai , whether at the local level. UAE session level through participation in cultural festivals or at the Gulf level in participations for its members, including artists, creators, writers, directors and others, in order to promote cultural and creative work for community development.
The Ministry of Community Development supervised the elections, as usual, to confirm the collective participation of all active and affiliated members of the Dubai National Theater troupe.
Yasser Al Gergawi highlighted the important role played by the Ministry of Community Development and the Ministry of Culture in supporting creators and in their efforts to embrace national energies.
He highlighted the great role played by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) in supporting investments in the creative industries, particularly the theater movement, in addition to its continued support for young energies. He highlighted the enrichment and support provided by the Sharjah Ministry of Culture to all theater troupes in the UAE.
Yasser Al Gergawi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, highlighted the cultural status of the Emirate of Dubai, which enables artists to serve the creative industries, and the great cultural status it enjoys, which consolidates culture with its various elements , such as the performing arts. or visual arts, in order to serve the people of the Emirates.
