Cuautitlán Izcalli opens a care center for people on the autism spectrum, a pioneer in Edomex

The government of Cuautitlán Izcalli opened a Autism Center with the intention of providing care to the population with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the Town of San Sebastián Xhala.

In this primary care space, work is done to timely detection TEA, offering five modules for care of patients in social skills, language, psychology, pedagogy and sensory therapy, as mentioned by El Universal.

At the Cuautitlán Izcalli Autism Center (CATCI) there are certified personnel who can apply evidence as ADOS2among others, already counting on 106 patients scheduled, some for the first time and others with an integrated diagnosis to begin therapeutic treatment.

What does this Autism test consist of?

The ADOS2 test is a scale of standardized observation and semi-structured communication, social interaction and play or the imaginative use of materials to suspicious people of having Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The purpose is not only to promote the integral developmentinclusion and multidisciplinary care of patients, but also training and giving greater support for parents with workshops, awareness and sensitization talks.

How much does this care cost?

The City Council of the Mexican district pointed out that the diagnostic costs are up to 70% lower than in other centers in the Mexico statewithout specifically specifying the amount.

Within the care instance there are also workshopsawareness, sensitivity and continuous training practices, since we must remember that according to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI)in Mexico there is a record of 45 thousand children con TEA.
