The relationship between Tomas De Soete and Siska Schoeters did not last. However, Tomas had left his previous wife for Siska at the time.
“I have felt guilty for a long time regarding the divorce with the mother of my two eldest children,” Tomas refers to Siska in Het Laatste Nieuws. “Not regarding the divorce itself, but regarding the way I handled it. Going for appearances with another partner (Tomas started a relationship with Siska Schoeters, ed.): that was extremely painful.”
“I don’t regret that the relationship ended, that’s not what it’s regarding – I became unhappy and perhaps she was too – but the way it happened might have been much better,” Tomas continues. “In the beginning she was angry, But in the meantime we have been on good terms for several years now and, among other things, we simply celebrate our children’s birthdays together.”
