In a statement, the city administration reports that two dense traffic jams have formed on the Tom River in the area of the river station and the village of Kazanka. These traffic jams cause complications in the hydrological situation. Experts plan to launch quadcopters into the sky as soon as the weather permits and the fog over Tom clears.
Also, the water level in the Tom River near the Camp Garden in Tomsk rose by 99 centimeters overnight, reaching a critical height of 860 centimeters, which is only 30 centimeters below the dangerous level. Authorities are on high alert as water levels are expected to rise further in the coming days, triggering a storm warning in the region.
As a precaution, more than 80 people were evacuated from villages near Tomsk. The situation in Tomsk remains dire, the embankment near the Communal Bridge has been washed away, and the number of flooded houses in the area has increased to 138.
