Jakarta, Insertlive –
Taylor Swift rejected an offer to perform at a private event in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a fee of US$9 million or the equivalent of Rp. 145 billion.
This news was revealed by rapper French Montana in an interview with VladTV and reported Page Six on Thursday (11/4). Montana said the offer was for a gig in December 2023.
Meanwhile, Page Six said no one knew why Swift rejected the offer. His representative was also contacted and did not respond.
If Montana’s statement is true, the offer to appear in the UAE coincides with Swift’s holiday following the first year of The Eras Tour.
Taylor Swift finished the 2023 session of The Eras Tour on November 26 in Sao Paulo, following experiencing chaos at a concert in Rio de Janeiro which caused one fan to die due to heat.
Once finished in Sao Paulo, Swift immediately returned to the United States and settled with Travis Kelce in Kansas. He also celebrates his birthday on December 13, 2023 in New York City.
Swift has just returned to The Eras Tour for the international leg in Tokyo, Japan, in February and continues to Australia, then to Singapore for six nights in March 2024.
Taylor Swift then took a short break in April 2024, along with the release of her new album, The Torture Poets Department on April 19 2024, and will resume The Eras Tour in early May in France.
