“New sanctions coming soon” –

Middle East increasingly in flames. The situation is literally exploding and despite attempts to add water to the fire, the tension between the parties involved shows no signs of abating. US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen is preparing new sanctions to impose on Iran following its unprecedented attack on Israel. Axios writes this, anticipating that Yellen will announce the new sanctions during the annual conference of the International Monetary Fund which will be held in the next few hours in Washington.

Yellen will also urge those attending the conference to take similar steps. The US Treasury, according to Yellen, “will not hesitate to work with our allies to use our sanctions authority to continue to disrupt the Iranian regime’s malign and destabilizing activity.”
