New study shows important trends until 2035.

This is one of the central findings of the study “The Landscape of Circular Electronics Towards 2035”. Commissioned by the Circular Electronics Initiative, it provides an analysis of the developments expected to shape the field of circular electronics through 2035. It also identifies eight trends that you should keep an eye on.
The report calls on players in the electronics value chain to take action. The authors encourage adopting circular economic model practices more than before. Additionally, they highlight trends that are likely to shape the path to 2035. The report highlights the importance of rethinking the design, use and recycling of electronic devices – beyond traditional e-waste disposal.
“The report highlights eight trends that we believe are important to be aware of. The actors in the electronics supply chain should take these trends into account in their decisions in order to set the course towards a circular economy. “These are broad trends that come from different areas of society, such as technology, regulation and consumer habits,” says Olivier Rostang, future strategist at Kairos Future, which compiled the report.
