MINISTER of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi today, Friday 12 April 2024, visited Soekarno-Hatta Airport during the Eid transport period.

The Minister of Transportation arrived at around 09.30 WIB at the Eid Transport Monitoring Post which is located in front of Terminal 1B. Also present to accompany the Minister of Transportation were the Director of Strategy and Technology Development of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia Ferry Kusnowo, the Main Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Agus Wialdi, the Main Director of AirNav Indonesia Polana B. Pramesti, and the President Director of Lion Air Group Daniel Putut.

This post itself was opened on April 3 – 18 2024 as a forum for collaboration between all Soekarno-Hatta Airport stakeholders to ensure security, safety and service aspects are maintained in the midst of the Eid transport peak season.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Transportation appreciated the stakeholders at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, namely PT Angkasa Pura II, AirNav Indonesia, airlines, Customs, Immigration, Quarantine, TNI and Polri, who have collaborated well on Eid 2024 transportation.

“I appreciate that aviation colleagues are working very actively in the midst of the holidays,” said the Minister of Transportation.

Furthermore, the Minister of Transportation said that smooth flight traffic in the midst of the busy Eid transport period would not be possible if there was no collaboration between stakeholders at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, which is the busiest airport in Indonesia.

“This would not be possible if there was no collaboration,” explained the Minister of Transportation.

The Minister of Transportation explained that the highest number of aircraft movements at Soekarno-Hatta Airport during Eid 2024 had reached 1,236 flights in one day, or close to 2019 when there was no pandemic, which was 1,280 flights in one day.

“The surprise is that the number of passengers is greater. “In Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta Airport) it is greater (recovery rate) 101% than 2019,” explained the Minister of Transportation.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Agus Wialdi said that the highest number of passengers in the H-7 to H2 period (3 – 11 April 2024) was at the peak of the homecoming flow on April 6 2024, namely 187,744 people or reflected a recovery rate of 101% compared to the peak of the 2019 homecoming flow. .

“AP II is grateful for the support from the Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of BUMN, as well as good collaboration between all Soekarno-Hatta Airport stakeholders so that the implementation of Eid transportation, especially during the homecoming flow, runs well and smoothly,” said Agus Wialdi.

In total, the number of passenger movements at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in H-7 to H2 (3 – 11 April 2024) has reached 1.37 million passengers or an increase of 9% compared to the same period in 2023 of 1.26 million passengers.

In the same place, PT Angkasa Pura II Operations Director Agus Haryadi said Soekarno-Hatta Airport was now starting to welcome reverse flow.

“The peak of the return flow is estimated to be Monday, April 15 2024, with the number of passengers at Soekarno-Hatta Airport projected to be around 190,000 people,” said Agus Haryadi.

For this year’s Eid transportation, Agus Haryadi said that all AP II airports, including Soekarno-Hatta Airport, are providing Ramadan Customer Experience for airplane passengers.

“AP II airports present thematic designs with Ramadan nuances in the terminals so that airplane passengers can feel the Eid ambience when traveling during this Eid transport period. “Apart from that, various activation programs to entertain passengers are also being implemented,” said Agus Haryadi.
