A fifty-year-old was found dead during the night from Thursday to Friday in the third arrondissement of Marseille, very close to the Bougainville metro station. The victim is a homeless man who was allegedly assaulted following an attempted theft.

A man aged around fifty was found dead under the Bougainville metro footbridge, in the third arrondissement of Marseille, we learned Le Figaro from a police source, confirming initial information from Provence.
The events took place during the night from Thursday to Friday, around 1 a.m. The victim, a homeless man, had a swollen face and was partially naked. His clothes were found not far from him.
Violent kicks to the face
On video surveillance images, the police managed to identify a man who had searched the homeless man’s personal belongings, before violently kicking him in the face, until jumping with both feet on his head.
A 25-year-old Guinean subject to an OQTF was immediately placed in police custody and then indicted as part of this investigation opened for homicide by the Marseille prosecutor’s office.
