A female police officer managed to single-handedly neutralize the perpetrator of the attack in the Sydney shopping center and prevented an even bigger carnage.
It is noted that according to the official information of the police, five people have tragically died inside the Westfield Bondi Junction at the hands of the attacker and another 9 have been transported with serious injuries to Sydney hospitals. It all started at noon on Saturday (13.4.2024) when the perpetrator entered the shopping center at 15:10 and left a short time later.
However, he returned ten minutes later and attacked at least nine mall visitors with a knife.
A police officer alone and without reinforcements who was at the scene, began to pursue him.
When they had now reached the fifth level of the shopping center, the assailant turned and faced the police officer.
She did not hesitate and shot him on the spot.
