Emergency Services Escort Inflatable Boat to British Border – Increasing Trend of Human Trafficking in West Flanders

They had left France and wanted to cross the Channel. The emergency services tried to force the boat to turn around but the passengers refused to do so. The boat is now escorted to the British border.

“For safety reasons, we cannot intervene without putting these people in danger,” explains Peter Van Camp of the Maritime and Coastal Services Agency. “An inflatable boat carrying 38 people can capsize.
