As part of its sponsorship agreement with the streaming music platform Spotify, Barcelona has displayed logos of the rock band Rolling Stones and the artists Drake and Rosalía in previous “clásicos”, as the Barsa-Madrid duel is known.
“This time the chosen artist has been the Colombian Karol G, the Latin singer with the most plays during the last four years on Spotify globally.“, announced the Catalan club in a statement.
Karol G’s barbed wire heart logo will appear for the first time on the women’s team’s jersey for their F League match once morest Villarreal on Saturday, before the men’s team will show it off once morest Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu on April 21.
Real Madrid leads the League with eight points ahead of Barcelona, which needs to win to close the gap and have a chance of retaining the title.
The Catalans signed their sponsorship deal with Spotify in March 2022 for four seasons and is reportedly valued at €280 million ($299 million).
The shirt is currently on sale in Barcelona’s official stores, so to purchase it you just have to go to the club’s website.
As it is commemorative, the price of the t-shirt is higher than that of a normal one and it reaches a price greater than U$D400.
