Ilsaad, a cousin of the Mauritian TikToker Aroushi, spoke to Défi Plus. He relates that the tragic departure of his cousin on February 28, following a cardiac arrest caused by a lung infection, left a void within his family. “Aroushi, 39, moved to France regarding three years ago. The idea of ​​creating videos on TikTok dates back approximately two years. These were very successful. Aroushi was known for her humor, which is how she began to make herself known in the world,” says Ilsaad, a cousin of the deceased. He is also very active on TikTok under the pseudonym “Garson”.

Our interlocutor relates that his cousin lived in the Meudon-La-Forêt region. This Meudonnaise was the mother of two children: a 3-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter, born from a previous union. Ilsaad reveals that her cousin had some 25,600 followers on TikTok. “One of my cousin’s videos even had 400,000 views on TikTok. »

Humility

His humility appealed to Internet users. “Aroushi had a rare humility and she loved to talk. She maintained constant communication with her subscribers. She had an overwhelming passion for her life as a TikToker. His joy of life was contagious. We received a lot of messages of sympathy on social networks and the funeral home welcomed a lot of visitors…” says Ilsaad.

Coma

“Aroushi fell ill on Tuesday January 23. The same day, she went to the hospital. But hospital staff diagnosed a mild flu. She’s gone back home. However, on January 26, his state of health worsened. And she was put into an induced coma. This decision was made on Saturday January 27. Shortly before her departure, she asked her husband to watch over her children. “Get bann zanfan byen.” », confides Ilsaad.

“At first light on February 28, a month following his hospitalization, hospital staff informed the family that Aroushi had died. The bacteria present in his body had contaminated several of his organs, including his kidneys and lungs,” specifies the cousin.

Ashes

On Monday March 4, Aroushi was cremated at the Clamart crematorium. The family, underlines the cousin, has been experiencing unspeakable pain since Aroushi’s death. “His absence is felt. It is a very difficult test. We held out hope that she would recover, but fate had it otherwise. His disappearance was a shock for his family and his subscribers on social networks,” testifies the cousin.

It is difficult for Ilsaad “to watch Aroushi’s videos filmed during the happy days”. “But our comfort is knowing that she brightened the lives of many people,” he confides.

Aroushi’s relatives will go to Deauville next Saturday. “Aroushi had not expressed the wish to see his ashes scattered in Deauville. But it was his favorite region. We will scatter his ashes on the public beach of Deauville,” concludes his cousin.
