The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) recorded that more than 600 thousand motorbike travelers left the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas. This figure is based on data on the first day of Eid, Wednesday, April 10 2024.
“There were 301,369 motorbikes leaving Jabodetabek and 602,738 people,” said Ministry of Transportation spokesperson Adita Irawati in a written statement, Thursday (11/4).
This number increased by 9.95 percent compared to the normal daily period in 2024. Meanwhile, during the same homecoming period in 2023, a decline was recorded.
“This number has decreased by 31.22 percent compared to last year,” said Adita.
The Ministry of Transportation also recorded the movement of motorbikes and people entering the Jabodetabek area. A total of 286,781 vehicles and 573,562 people entered the area.
This number, said Adita, has decreased by 14.48 percent compared to the normal daily period in 2024. The decrease also occurred when compared to the same period last year.
